june, 15 2006 next month july 15th there'll be this website first birthday, so to celebrate this event i sheduled some improvements. the first one is a streaming videos section you could access from the menu page through a link in the antony picture. i'm very proud of this new section because there aren't so many musical artists, never the most celebrated ones, who have a webpage like this (it's very hard and difficult to make it!) and i think it's a great stuff to prove to the world the magic and the quality of antony and the johnsons performances. this is the only one purpose of that webpage: to celebrate a great artist through his performances broadcasted by various televisions all over the world. all the clips you can find there come from my personal dvd and vhs collection and can't be downloaded or stolen from this site because i've used the streaming technology. however if the owners of the copyrights should feel to be damaged someway, please report it to my mail: birdantony@email.it and i immediately remove that webpage. by now have you all a good vision of all those beautiful performances: if you don't have a fast connection (lan, dsl, cable) you'd better pause the clips until the streaming download goes on before pushing again the play button. |
june, 08 2006 in this 2006 antony has been working on a multitude of collaborations, he gives a previously unreleased track called hole in my soul to the benefit project 5 cd compilation not alone for mèdeicins sans frontières, he co-produced and performed on the new album by little annie called songs from the coal mine canary, and has recorded duets with current 93, matmos, metallic falcons, my robot friend, joan as policewoman and reuben butchart. see the discography/other section of this site for further info about all this records. |

january, 26 2006 the italian national radio rai radio 1 will present: 'antony & the johnsons in concerto' by silvia boschero in which will be broadcasted the november, 19 gig at auditorium in rome. the transmission is scheduled for the next friday february 3rd at 9.00 p.m. in italy (which is gmt +1) and could be listened also in web streaming at this address and then clicking on 'ascolta radio 1' button. |

i am a bird now has nominated for the new pantheon music prize. this music prize was founded by tom sarig (co-founder of the previously existing shortlist music prize). this award which is honoring the most creative and artistic albums of the year, as nominated by a select panel of musicians, actors, writers and music gurus. this year’s nominating committee includes beck, benjamin gibbard, shirley manson, elton john, dave matthews, margaret cho, elijah wood and others. the new pantheon music prize taking place on february 6th in los sngeles (two days before the grammys) and will be simulcast on network live. see their site for further info about it. |
